For COOs & Ops Leaders
Operational Advisory
For the people making sure everything works.
Most agency leadership teams have someone whose job is to make sure the thing they've all just agreed to do can actually happen. That person knows which projects are at risk before anyone calls them a problem. Which teams are stretched. Where the process is starting to creak. Which hire is going to be needed in three months. Where something that looks fine on the leadership report is already starting to unravel underneath it.
A lot of that work doesn't have a number attached to it. And it's often done without a senior peer to think with, a sounding board to test ideas against, or anyone who's been in the seat before to say whether you're looking at the right things.
That's what Operational Advisory is for.
Who it's for
Agency COOs, heads of ops, and ops-capable founders who are doing the operational work themselves and want experienced external challenge and accountability alongside them.
Not coaching. Not consulting in the traditional sense. A structured advisory relationship - with someone who has nearly 20 years of senior agency ops experience, has seen how different agencies approach the same challenges, and understands what good looks like at your stage.
What it involves
Onboarding session - £300, one off
A 90-minute walkthrough of where you are, what work's been done, and what the priorities are. Includes a review of any existing audit work, roadmaps, or documentation you want to bring. The output is a short written summary of agreed focus areas.
Monthly advisory - £900 per month
One 90-minute anchor session at the start of each month - to review what's been achieved, identify what's next, and agree the focus for the month ahead.
Three 30-minute stand-up sessions across the rest of the month — to maintain momentum, troubleshoot what's come up, and make sure nothing sits unresolved between the longer sessions.
Ad hoc email access between sessions for specific questions, decisions that can't wait, or things worth a quick sense-check before acting. Response within 48 hours.
The commitment
Three month minimum. Reviewed and renewed by agreement at month three - or concluded cleanly if it isn't working for either side. Available to a small number of ops leaders at any one time.
Why external matters
The value of Operational Advisory isn't in someone else doing your job. You're still the one making the decisions and driving the work.
It's in having an experienced external perspective that no internal relationship can replicate.
Pattern recognition across multiple agencies. What's working elsewhere, what isn't, and what your agency is doing that's unusual - and whether that's a strength or a risk.
Independent challenge before decisions become commitments. A place to test thinking, pressure-test options, and arrive at clearer, more confident decisions before they go internal.
The questions that aren't ready for an internal conversation yet. Every ops leader has them. Having somewhere to take them makes everything else sharper.
The CEO stays focused on the business. Operational decisions that currently flow upward stay where they should. Everyone works better as a result.
The business case
The most immediate value is turning existing diagnostic work into action. Every month of delay is improvement - and profit - not yet realised.
Beyond that, an experienced ops advisory relationship provides the structure, accountability, and external challenge to keep implementation on track. Better decisions earlier mean less rework and fewer costly course corrections. And at £900 per month, it's a fraction of the cost of additional senior ops headcount — with nearly 20 years of cross-agency experience, no employment overhead, and a defined exit point on both sides.
Total investment for the first three months including onboarding: £3,000.
Where to start
The onboarding session is the natural first step. It gives us both a clear picture of where you are and what the advisory relationship should focus on - before any ongoing commitment is made.
